The iPhone 12 was announced just a few months ago and rumors about the iPhone 13 have already started to make the rounds. A new rumor claims that the beloved touchID will mark its return with the iPhone 13 line. The feature disappeared from iPhones when Apple introduced FaceID as a biometric authentication mode. The only 2020 iPhone to have TouchID was the iPhone SE, which featured an iPhone 8-like design with large bezels.
The latest development comes from a couple of whistleblowers. First, responding to a user’s tweet, an informant named L0vetodream said Touch ID “will be back soon”. However, there was no conclusive evidence of the rumor. But Jon Prosser, famous for his Apple-related leaks, also responded to the same tweet by saying, “You’re getting there.” Since there are no iPhones on the way but the iPhone 13, it is speculated that the future lineup will be equipped with TouchID.
