Electric vehicle maker Fisker will join forces with Foxconn, Apple’s leading iPhone maker, to produce more than 250,000 electric vehicles annually, starting in 2023.
The agreement was called “Project PEAR”, short for Personal Electric Automotive Revolution, and is aimed at the markets of North America, Europe, China and India.
In addition to working with Fisker, Foxconn has also partnered with Chinese electric vehicle startup Byton. Foxconn expects to supply parts for 10% of the world’s electric vehicles by 2025-2027.
In response to the news, Fisker’s stock was up 23.4% to $ 20.10 in pre-market trading, second Reuters.
So far, Foxconn hasn’t been explicitly mentioned in any rumors …
