Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is working on two new models in the MacBook Pro line with “the most significant design update of the MacBook Pro in the past five years,” says a MacRumors report citing the trusted whistleblower and former analyst. KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo.
The report adds that the company is working on two models of 14- and 16-inch size options, and both of these models are said to offer a flat-edged design, similar to the iPhone 12.
The two are rumored to arrive without an OLED Touch Bar, and Apple is said to be returning to physical function keys. Also, it looks like Apple will incorporate the MagSafe charging connector design with the laptop.
It is also claimed that Apple will power these laptops with its newly unveiled M1 chipset, as expected.
As for the expected launch date, the report says Apple could launch the two models in the third quarter of 2021.
