A new problem is coming to light with Apple’s new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. Users report compatibility issues with USB 2.0 devices.

Thanks to new Mac laptops that only support USB-C, older devices don’t have to connect to 2020 machines they have to go through a hub. This is where the problem arises. Juli Clover reports:
“MacBook owners have encountered connectivity issues with all kinds of devices that require a USB-A connection, including mice, keyboards and other accessories. Multiple hubs have been tested, which suggests the problem isn’t caused by a particular brand of hub, and it also appears that most complaints are limited to USB 2.0 accessories rather than USB 3.0 and 3.1 accessories. “
