In the middle of last year, the guys at Apple TV + picked up a second Israeli drama series, the neo-noir thriller “Losing Alice,” which followed espionage-driven “Tehran”.
Once again, they chose wisely.
Like “Tehran”, “Losing Alice” is made up of eight episodes of about an hour, will require reading subtitles for most American viewers and is, more importantly, compelling from its earliest moments.
Their similarities end there, however, as “Losing Alice” tries to seduce you with elements that are quite clever, very sexy and perhaps just a little scary.
Based on watching the first four episodes – the first three of the series debuts this week, with the next five weeks bringing one each – “Losing Alice” seems to be worth working on in your streaming schedule. We will notice that there are red flags as this Faustian tale proceeds, as …
