Apple announced today that 10 episodes of medical action have been added to its Apple TV + streaming service. The program is based on a gift-book of the same name as the “Familia de Medianoche.” This will be the first Apple Original all-Spanish series, created by Award winner Ariel Gibran Portela and Julio Rojas.
“Midnight Family” is currently working on a production in Mexico City, Mexico, and is a full-fledged Hispanic cast and crew. The series follows a passionate medical student named Marigaby Tamayo throughout her daily life. In the evenings, Tamayo manages medical emergencies from his family’s private ambulance, and amidst the gorgeous landscape of Mexico, he and his family save lives in a city that serves millions person.
This original version was directed by Pablo Larraín and Juan de Dios Larraín, by Fabula. In addition, Fabula is the company behind the film that won the Oscar “A Fantastic Woman.” Apple’s upcoming releases include “Now and then,” English and Spanish thriller and “Echo 3,” thriller set in South America and the United States.
