Apple will soon allow customers to make purchases through payment plans on their Apple cards, similar to a program that already exists for the iPhone.
Apple Card Offers Payment Plan Options For New iPhones And Soon Other Products
On Thursday, when Apple called for the second quarter results, CEO Tim Cook announced that customers may someday purchase products using a payment plan on their Apple card. This advantage also exists for the iPhone and, according to Cook, should extend to other devices in the Apple range.
“Well, as you know, we launched the Apple Card for iPhone payment plan earlier,” said Cook. “We are working on doing this for other products as well and you will soon see something about it.”
The initiative would extend to other purchasing programs such as the Exchange and the iPhone upgrade program.
The Apple Card Monthly Payment Plan still allows you to take advantage of the 3% cash back on Apple purchases. The 24-month payment plan is interest-free and does not incur any other costs. This type of payment plan would certainly increase a customer’s ability to purchase new devices more frequently.
