Apple surprisingly started showing a repair index for devices like iPhones and Macs in the Apple Store app and Apple Online Store in France this week. Users can now get a better idea of how easy it is to fix that device before they buy it.
As reported by MacGeneration, the index relates to local regulations established by the Ministry of Ecological Transition. There are five different criteria used to determine the index of each device, which include ease of disassembly and the availability of parts needed for repair.
