An iOS app called Vybe Together that promoted private parties during the COVID-19 pandemic was removed from the Apple App Store, his TikTok account was banned, and most of his online presence was deleted. The creators of the app told The Verge that Apple was the only one to remove it from the App Store.
Vybe Together has proclaimed itself on TikTok and its website as a place to organize and attend clandestine parties, using the slogan “Get your rebel on. Get your party started.” The organizers would have to approve everyone who wanted to attend and those who were approved would receive the address two hours before the event. Most of these gatherings would have been illegal under current U.S. pandemic restrictions, which could explain why the app required you to submit a profile for approval before you were allowed access.
