Apple sent emails today to developers with a Developer Transition Kit asking them to return the machines by March 31st. Developer Transition Kits are Mac mini with A12Z chip that Apple provided for development purposes prior to the release of M1 Mac.
Apple has emailed developers with shipping instructions and plans to start collecting DTKs starting next week. The DTKs featured 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, and an HDMI 2.0 port in addition to the A12Z chip, which was first used in the 2020 iPad Pro models.
