AppleOriginalProductions.com domain has been registered with Apple but does not launch any websites. This isn’t the first time Apple has registered domains, although it never plans to use them directly, but it’s a sign of where the company is heading.
The last domain Apple purchased appears to be for its Apple TV + productions, but does not yet point to a site or redirect. Apple recently pushed for more original content to improve its streaming service, so a dedicated domain might make sense.
However, Apple could also easily reserve a name to prevent anyone from using it. This is less likely with something like AppleOriginalProductions than it would be for, say, “iPhone.com”.
In 2019, I also registered privacyisimportant.com and still have not created a website at that address. Oddly enough, Apple seemed to put more effort into this “privacyisimportant” phrase because it registered it in so many different countries.
So far, AppleoriginalProductions appears to be just a .com address. This comes at a time when Apple TV + can be included in a set of other Apple services called “Apple One”. Another rumor is that Apple will release a different bundle with Showtime and CBS All Access starting the week of August 17th.
