Apple Macs with M1 chips may soon get a fix for reported Bluetooth issues

Apple Macs with the new M1 chip that have encountered issues with Bluetooth connectivity will have a solution for macOS Big Sur, at least in theory.

We say this because Apple hasn’t released an official statement on the Bluetooth bug – which apparently hit buyers of the new Mac mini and M1-based MacBooks according to a report from Wccftech – but rather an Apple support representative.

I solved my Mac M1’s Bluetooth issues by plugging in my keyboard and purchasing a Logitech mouse with its Bluetooth dongle. (Apple tells me a fix for MacOS is in progress and coming up almost anytime. But damn.) January 10, 2021

Ian Bogost, a contributing writer at The Atlantic, broke the news of an upcoming – and upcoming – macOS fix but later made it clear that this news was shared by Apple Support, so it should be taken with a grain of salt.
