Apple has released macOS Monterey 12.4 with Display Studio webcam support

Apple has released macOS Monterey 12.4, the fourth major upgrade to the operating system that was released in October 2021. macOS Monterey 12.4 arrives two months after the release of macOS Monterey 12.3, which includes Global Control. The macOS Monterey 12.4 update is available for all relevant Macs through the Software Updates section of the Favorites Settings. For those who also use Big Sur, Apple has released the macOS Big Sur 11.6.6 upgrade, as well as the MacOS Catalina 2022-004 security update.

Following ‌macOS Monterey‌ 12.4 and iPadOS 15.5 updates, Global Control is no longer in beta. It’s an official version now that Apple thinks is not the case, and the beta has been removed. Global control was introduced in March and allows you to use a mouse / music pad and keyboard across multiple Macs and iPads. For Display Studio, ‌macOS Monterey‌ 12.4 adds support for firmware 15.5, which is designed to improve webcam quality.

Updates are also available for the Podcast application, with Apple adding a program that limits the number of events saved on the Mac and automatically deletes adults.
