Macs and viruses aren’t that common, but what researchers recently discovered is even less so. Red Canary security researcher has posted informationon on a new “activity cluster” that has infected 29,139 Macs in more than 150 countries but is missing a key ingredient: a reason for it.
In the report, Red Canary and Malwarebytes outlines a new variety of macOS malware called Silver Sparrow which affects both Intel and Apple silicon processors.
