So here’s my problem: The customer wants his 2011 MBP 8.1 fixed and an SSD added.
There is an unknown EFI password and it is not sufficient proof for Apple’s override. This disables all commands at startup (reset, internet reset, terminal, single user, etc.). The model is too new for ram stick NVRAM manipulation.
At hand I have:
- Original HDD 2011, data has been recovered, OsX is damaged and cannot be started
- Cannot use cmd + r to fix the problem due to EFI lock
- New SSD
- SATA to USB3 case
Here’s my idea, looking for feedback and help.
