Logitech $170 USB-C StreamCam/Capture software is the perfect way to start streaming the video

Logitech has sent us his new $169.99 StreamCam in September for review prior to its Logitech Capture for Mac software was the same y. something happened and the project was found a few months until today, but I started to use it for the Electrek Podcast in September. Logitech got back to us this week and told us that the project was on and Mac software a y.

So it’s sort of a funny “look” on a product that I’ve used for almost a year and a half…

I had the StreamCam in September, plugged into one of my iMac USB-C ports, and it was immediately recognized by Catalina. I left him in his screen assembly and plopped on top of my iMac. Instantly, all the applications, including the Streamyard streaming software that we use for podcasts, has recognized the camera. Instant makeover. When the StreamCam comes on you’ll see a bit of white LEDS that indicate power, such as the iMac built-in camera.

It also works very well on my 13-inch MacBook Pro. I like the 5-foot-USB-C cable here for the bandwidth, but wish it wasn’t built into the camera for longer/shorter cable swaps and other.

The device sits on the screen and looks good. I’m on the white version, but a darker black version is also available.
