How Edward Snowden protects activists against surveillance

Wired still has a good one today, written by Edward Snowden. He writes how government monitoring is not new.

Born by a mother who was a member of the Black Panther Party and raised in Brooklyn in an environment of political yeast and police research, Malkia fought against overseeing activists and people of color before anyone knew my name.

We white people may not be so used to supervision, but Mr. Snowden reminds us that African Americans and Muslim Americans have long been the targets of the government.
