The update has been rolled out to owners of EufyCam 2C in the past few days, first reported by Smartapfel.de.
HomeKit support is available when the EufyCam 2 and EufyCam 2C are connected to the second generation Egyy Homebase. With the latest firmware updates installed, EufyCam owners can follow this instruction guide provided by the company to integrate their cameras into your HomeKit.
This update adds support for HomeKit live streaming, snapshots, Siri integration, and motion alerts. Although part of the initial HomeKit Secure Video announcement to WWDC, this week’s update does not include these features.
HomeKit Secure Video allows cameras to automatically record clips to iCloud with secure end-to-end encryption. Anker said the next firmware upgrade would add the promised functionality of HomeKit Secure Video, expected in early 2020.
