Optimization for iPad is provided as part of Google Duo version 39 and is the only change included in updates for iOS users. On the Android side tablet support was available for a while, but further optimization is done in today's update.

Google Duo is a direct competitor between Google and FaceTime, adding functionality to the iPad will further improve the functionality for Apple's services. Google advertises that Duo is "the highest quality video call application," whether Wi-Fi or mobile phone connection.

Simple interface

With a simple interface that allows easy video calling with one touch, you can jump right away by selecting contacts.

Best quality video call application

Whether you are on Wi-Fi or on the go, you can experience more reliable video calls with excellent video quality.

Cross platform compatible

Because Duo works on both smartphone and tablet operating systems, you can phone and Hangout with friends and family with just one app.

You should see who is calling before picking up on live video preview.

Video message

My friends can not answer the phone? no problem. Please leave a video message for them and call you soon. In a video message, you can capture everything that you wanted to share.

Voice call

If you can not chat with a video, make a phone call only to a friend.

It should be noted that although iOS 12 was configured to support group FaceTime, Apple recently revealed that its features will be deferred until release after iOS 12.
