Wistr's orders "may not be as high as expected", but they still occur, DigiTimes citing market observers. People have dismissed rumors that Wistr would be completely cut off from the flagship producti of the iPhone.
It is not known which exact model (s) Wistr could assemble, but the company is usually assigned to secdary iPhones. It currently manages the iPhone SE and 6s, for example.
This could mean that it will be loaded with the 6.1 inch LCD iPhone because LCD technology is well worn and the device is likely to be the cheapest news Apple optis. At the same time, it could also become the most popular model, in which case Wistr might need the help of other Apple assemblers like Foxcn or Pegatr.
It is believed that Apple is working two OLED models, sized at 5.8 and 6.5 inches, respectively. The first is usually seen as a lump of the iPhone X, while the latter should be a "Plus" versi.
The inclusi of Wistr is not the ly rumored change in the iPhone supply chain this year. LG Display is expected to ship its first iPhone OLED panels, with estimates between 2 and 5 milli.
