According to a new report, the communicatis giant is csidering Apple or Google as a provider of the 5G video.

Veriz Communicatis is in talks with Apple and Google as potential partners when it launches 5G service at home in a pair of California markets later this year, Bloomberg News reported Mday.
The report, quoting “a pers aware of the situati,” indicates that Veriz should update its 5G plans when announcing the company’s quarterly results Tuesday. The partnership would be with either Apple TV or Google’s YouTube TV and could serve as a temporary “showcase” for the technology until Veriz is able to launch a video service itself.
Veriz’s plan, according to the report, is to “transmit line services to domestic receivers” at speeds of 5G, and later compete with Comcast and AT & T’s landline services. The service should be launched in Los Angeles and Sacramento, as well as in two other cities, later this year.
Veriz had been working an OTT TV service since last year but seems to be removed from Bloomberg report.
The next step in wireless networking, 5G, begins deployment this year, but it should not be available the 2018 iPhone generati.
