Apple is said to be working a redesigned File applicati, tabs built into apps similar to the tabs available in macOS applicatis, support for using the same side-by-side applicati in Split View multitasking, and enhancements. not specified in the pencil of Apple. Gurman also said that some features originally planned for iOS 12 will be pushed back to iOS 13 to allow Apple to work bug fixes and performance improvements. These features include a redesigned home screen (which will include changes the iPad) and a redesigned Photos app.

iOS 11, the current versi of the new iPad. iOS, was also an iPad update, introducing the Files applicati, a redesigned iPad dock, a new Switcher app, Drag and Drop support, new Apple Pencil features like Instant Markup and Instant Notes, a redesigned QuickType Keyboard , and more.
iOS 12, coming out this year, will offer fewer new features that Apple had originally planned for, but Gurman thinks that Apple will introduce at least e major change affecting also macOS 10.14 – support for cross-platform applicatis. It is said that Apple is working to implement features that would allow applicatis designed for the iPhone and iPad to run the Mac, but there have been some disagreements about when this feature will begin.
John Gruber of Daring Fireball says that Apple will not introduce this feature before iOS 13 and macOS 10.15, so it's unclear if it will come into effect in iOS 12. Gurman, however, often shares accurate information about Apple's software updates before they go out.
Additial features planned for iOS 12 include additial Animoji characters, a new Animoji and Animojis interface iPad, FaceTime support for Animoji, updated parental ctrols with a new Digital Health tool to allow parents to better mitor the screen, a revamped Stocks applicati, an improved versi of Do Not Disturb, and support for multiplayer augmented reality games.
Apple will unveil iOS 12, macOS 10.14, tvOS 12 and watchOS 5 at its next global developer cference that will begin Mday, June 4th. The first day will include a key event where Apple will share all the new features Developers will receive access to the software to start preparing their apps before the public launch of the fall.
