This feature was first discovered by Matt Navarra of The Next Web. Matt Navarra showed us a list of people who shared a Twitter screenshot and could not follow to "improve" his timeline.
In Slate's statement, Twitter explained that the purpose of the unfollow suggesti functi is to help the user discover the people they are "not regularly involved".
At this point, Twitter says that this feature has been tested with a "very limited" user set over several days. I have not commented whether this feature will be made public to everye.
People know that the relevant Twitter timeline is necessary. e way to do this is to exile those who are not regularly involved. We made an incredibly limited test surface accounts that people are not involved in to check whether they unfollow.
It seems like a dangerous move to Twitter to unfollowing people, but as it shifts more and more towards the algorithm timeline, that makes sense. Such a functi is also useful for so-called digital health activities. Unfollowing n-interactive users reduces the timeline ctent and prevents meaningless scrolling.
Do you think Twitter will release this feature to everye? Please tell us in the comments.
