As expected, Tim Cook was present at the Love loud Festival of 2018 yesterday. Love loud is dedicated to “launching the vital cversati about what it means to” love, understand, accept and uncditially support LGBTQ + youth in our communities. ”
Cook took the stage just before Imagine Drags, offering brief advice to those present before presenting the group.
Cook spoke to tell people that they are “a gift to the world.” He added that it was not necessary to struggle to be “what somee else thinks is normal” and emphasized that the normal could be the worst word ever created:
“I stand before you tight as an uncle, a sports nut, a CEO, a beautiful Utah lover the outside, and a proud American, gay.” I just delivered a message simple that I want every LGBT pers to here and believe. ”
“You are a gift to the world,” said Cook. “A unique and special gift, just as you are … Your life counts … My heart breaks when I see children struggling to cform to a society or family that does not accept them. that somee else thinks is normal, find your truth, tell your truth, live your truth. ”
“Let me tell you,” Cook ctinued. “Normal” may well be the worst word ever created – we are not all supposed to be the same, feel the same thing or think the same thing – and there is nothing wrg with it. you. ”
“I know that life can be dark and heavy, and sometimes it can seem unreasable and unbearable, but just as the night turns to day, be aware that darkness is always followed by light. You will feel more at home. In our own skin, attitudes will change, life will be better and you will prosper. “
Although not stage, photos shared Twitter show Cook mingling with festival attendees, taking photos and signing iPads.

The highlight of #LOVELOUD was meeting @Tim_Cook. I was so nervous, I fumbled over my words and ended up just stopping so we could get a picture. Wish I could have gotten a hug… 😉 But I’m grateful to Tim and what he represents for my community. Thank you, Tim! pic.twitter.com/93YywC321T
