Tim Cook Says Apple Will Date To Australia’s Bush Fire Rescue Efforts

Apple CEO Tim Cook has announced that the company will date to the bushfires that are currently burning across Australia. Cook made the announcement in a Twitter.

In it, Cook thanked volunteers working to fight fires across Australia and encouraged everye to stay safe:

Our hearts are with those affected by the Australian bush fires and with the courageous strength of volunteers fighting unprecedented fires across the country – please stay safe. Apple will date to support the rescue efforts.

Cook did not provide details of Apple’s ctributis, but the company regularly dates to local nprofits, emergency services, and the Red Cross for relief efforts following natural disasters.

The Guardian reports that as fires ctinue to burn across Australia, temperatures and wind speed will ctinue to increase before New Years Eve.

The Meteorological Office issued a strg wind warning for the Macquarie Coast, the Hunter Coast, the Sydney Coast, the Illawarra Coast, the Batemans Coast and the Eden Coast Saturday, and the Macquarie Coast , Hunter Coast and Sydney Coast Sunday.

Temperatures are expected to be above or well above the statewide average for the rest of the year. “A near statiary high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the north coast of New South Wales, while a low pressure trough extends over the southwest parts of the state” said the office Saturday.
