Things make this possible with a combinati of keyboard actis: item selecti via arrow keys and keyboard shortcuts for commands.
Before you can use a shortcut, you need a persistent selecti in the list that you can target. That's exactly what we built for things 3.6
To see what we mean, just open the app and press the down arrow; you will see the first e to be selected. You can now move the selecti with the arrow keys or hold down the Shift key and use the arrows to select other tasks. Yes, it works exactly like the Mac!
For keyboard shortcuts that users will want to use, Cultured Code highlights them:
- Insert a task below your selecti: Command + ] N [19659008] Open a task with Back and Tab Inward
- Close the task again: Command + ]
- Move items up or down the list: Command + Top / Bottom
- Duplicate, Copy, or Paste Items: Order ] + D / C / V
- Place a date: Command + S
