The new PSP Streaming AirPlay 2 standard is lg overdue. But after nearly a year of development, AirPlay 2 is finally available under iOS 11.4
AirPlay 2 is an update of the standard streaming platform. Notably, it introduces multi-room audio, stereo pairing for HomePod, and the ability to ask Siri to play music in specific rooms or throughout the home. It also adds a number of under-the-hood enhancements, such as the ability to take phe calls without interrupting the audio being played.
Currently, ly Apple's HomePod supports AirPlay 2. But Apple has released a list of devices from several manufacturers that have been officially cfirmed to adopt AirPlay 2 in the future. These manufacturers include Sos, Bang & Olufsen, Librate and Naim, amg others.
