The supplier of Apple TSMC begins producti processors for iPhones 2018

Apple supplier TSMC (Taiwan Semicductor Manufacturing Company) began producti of the next-generati 7-nanometer A12 chip that will be used in the 2018 iPhone lineup, reports Bloomberg .

TSMC at the end of April announced that its 7 nanometer process node went into high volume manufacturing, but did not say that it was working the same. set of Apple A12 processors to be integrated into the iPhones that are expected in September.

The new 7 nanometer chips will provide about 40% power and surface compared to the 10 nanometer process used for A11 processors in 2017 iPhones. As Bloomberg says, chips will be smaller , faster and more efficient.

TSMC is csidered as the ly partner with which Apple is working the A12 chip. TSMC was also the ly Apple supplier for A11 chips for iPhone X, 8 and 8 Plus.

The three Apple 2018 iPhones are expected to adopt the A12 chips currently under development. Rumors suggest that Apple is working a secd-generati 5.8-inch OLED iPhone that will take over from iPhone X, a 6.5-inch larger OLED iPhone that can be csidered an iPhone X Plus , and a more ecomical iPhone 6.1. inch LCD iPhone.

With the A12 chips, all three should include a TrueDepth camera system for face recogniti capabilities and an edge-to-edge design with minimal borders and no Home butt.
