The argument for Apple to ship a new Mac mini is even strger now

A cfluence of products, competiti and timing means that Apple could not have a better opportunity to deliver a new Mac mini.

The last time Apple updated the Mac mini was in October 2014. It was greeted with some derisi. That was at the beginning of what I call The Great Mac Malaise (2014-2017).
It is at this point that Apple lost its way with the Mac, and the gap between the updates was measured in thousands of days.

New Mac mini Era

With the introducti of the iMac Pro by Apple at the end of last year, and commitment to a new Mac Pro and a new Apple's screen for the Mac Pro, it seems that Apple is back the Mac train. Thinking about the cfluence of events, it seems to me that this summer would be a good time for Apple to update the Mac mini. Here are all the factors that come into play.

The Mac Factor. If Apple wants to prove that it has developed a new way of thinking about the Mac, then providing an update to a base of its Mac family would be a good idea. The Mac mini started as a Mac "Switcher", but its size, price, and the user's ability to attach a favorite screen made it a beloved member of the family. Apple can cvey this feeling to the bank.
