The report (via Loveios) explains that Apple would be in talks with the MediaTek provider for the cheapest HomePod device. This is not the first time that Apple has been using MediaTek as a provider for an upcoming HomePod, as several previous supply chain reports have shown.
What is undoubtedly the most interesting in today 's report, is that the device will be expected to fall under the Beats brand. When he originally announced AIrPlay 2 last year, Apple said the feature would come to present Beats products. Thus, it seems possible that the supply chain mixes a so-called cheaper HomePod with a Beats product refreshed with AirPlay 2.
