Phillips currently offers two kinds of wall switches for Hue devices. There is a smart dimmer switch with a form factor close to the standard US wall switch and a tap-type self-powered 4-butt device that does not require a battery. It is driven by the kinetic energy generated by pressing the butt.

CNET Philips is not going to manufacture a new switch itself, but announced that it will partner with existing lighting brands in a new Friends of Hue scheme.
Phillips has added a fleet of lighting makers to "Hue of Friends". e in the US, the switch is diversifying in Europe. Objective: To bring csumers with new, self-ctained, hue-compatible lighting switches. The first switch depicted here comes from Illumra and arrives in the US by the end of the year. European models arrive early in 2019.
Carefully, the new switch is compatible with HomeKit when used with the Philips Hue bridge which also works HomeKit.
We will aim to review within a year as so as new switches become available. The company announced yesterday that it will update the Hue app to support Siri Shortcuts.
