A cool app to come the photography scene is recently called Apollo. Not to be cfused with the Reddit client of the same name, Apollo allows you to brighten your photos in Portrait mode. It gives you a 3D lighting similar to the portrait lighting, and it works for iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X.

Portrait Lighting  When you take a picture in Portrait mode, you can add multiple light sources with Apollo. The light interacts with the scene as if it were really there. I've seen a similar feature with a different applicati, but this e ly works faces. Apollo works all photos in Portrait mode and it's really cool.
The team uses a special algorithm that uses the GPU to calculate photorealistic lighting. You can add up to 20 light sources and calibrate them to change the intensity of light, color, spread, positi and 3D space.

You can place light sources behind subjects, the side or in the frt. For best results, the photo should have uniform illuminati without deep shadows or bright reflectis.
As you can see from the pictures I took, Apollo works better solid subjects. Taking a picture of the flowers does not work because of the spaces between the stems.
