We're seeing SSD's capabilities rise and prices drop, and G-Technology is now using the much larger robustness of a SSD to deliver a rugged hard drive who can handle almost anything you can throw at it.
I took the model of 500 GB for a ride, which costs $ 165. Intensify the 1TB reader comes to $ 299. Unfortunately, the disproportiate premium higher capacities still applies, so it would cost $ 669 for the larger 2TB model.
Look & feel
The R Series drives are truly portable measuring less than four inches by two inches and a little more than half an inch thick. As you can see in the photo above, it's much smaller than my iPhone X, but about twice as thick.
Portability is also facilitated by short cables included, e for USB-C and USB-A. The cnector at the end of the drive is USB-C
The case is black plastic, but make no mistake: it's a hard drive. Inside, the case is interior, in a vibrant blue.
