The flagship opti here is the new AVIC-W8400NEX, which includes a dual DIN design and a seven-inch capacitive touch screen. This model is available for $ 1,200. Then the totem is the AVIC-W6400NEX, which also has a capacitive touch screen. The screen here, however, is slightly smaller at 6.2 inches. It is available for $ 800.
Last but not least is the AVH-W4400NEX. Here you look at a 7-inch screen, but with resistive touch capabilities. This model is located at the entry level CarPlay wireless market, running $ 700.
An important thing to csider here is the difference between types of touch screen. The W4400NEX may have a larger screen than the W6400NEX, but you get a resistive panel. This means that you usually have to press harder because the panel is not designed to be used with your fingers, unlike the capacitive display used in the other two models.
These three main units are compatible with CarPlay and Android Auto, and work via wired or wireless cnectivity. For the wired cnecti, simply cnect your device via a Lightning cable.
Pieer also offers support for ctrolling HomeKit compatible devices via Siri with CarPlay.
