New features are discussed for the accumulati of iPadOS 14 suggests that users with an Apple Pencil will be able to write in the text fields in any applicati, and translate the text in near-real time.

A code dive into iOS 14 has shown a new “PencilKit” in the next operating system for the iPad. PencilKit at the present time appears to work with Apple’s apps, and can be any applicati that has been coded for interfacing with the new API. It is not yet clear if she will need to have an iPad Pro, or works any iPad that can use an Apple Pencil.

Additial features identified include a “Magic wand”, which apply to the texture or color of a shape drawn by the user, not to the difference of the fill tool in the paint applicatis. It is not clear why it was added, or the full extent of the feature.

The introducti of PencilKit was first spotted by MacRumors Mday night. It is not clear yet whether the feature will be deployed the occasi of the launch of the iOS 14, or at a later date.

Apple is expected to deploy a beta versi of the iOS 14, iPad and OS 14 at the beginning of the summer. The two are expected to be unveiled at the annual WWDC in June, but the impact the possibility of the ctinuati of coravirus is not yet clear.
