Apple left the standale display market in 2016 when it stopped selling its Thunderbolt display. However, the company seems to have turned around, cfirming in April 2017 that it was planning to make a new standale screen to accompany the new Mac Pro currently under development.
The revelati came when three Apple executives were talking about the company's plans for the Mac Pro. It has been revealed that a new display is underway at Apple, which is expected to be delivered in 2019 next to the revamped Mac Pro.
Phil Schiller, Apple's marketing manager, said: "As part of the creati of a new Mac Pro, definiti, a modular system – we will also make a pro display." When will Apple launch a new screen?
Apple has not launched a screen for a very lg time. The Apple 27in Thunderbolt Display went sale in July 2011. It offered what would now be csidered a poor resoluti of 2560 x 1440 that can not even match the 2560 x 1600 of the 13-inch MacBook Pro Retina, and it is overshadowed by the 5K iMac's 5120 x 2880.
We had hoped for a few years now that the company would update its mitors. Sources have predicted that a new Apple 5K external mitor, equipped with an integrated GPU, would be unveiled at WWDC 2016, but no piece of equipment was unveiled at the party summer of the company and Apple withdrew the screen of the sale
