More general public of iOS developer survey highlights the progress of Swift, the interest for each of the platforms of Apple, more

The public the broader community of iOS developers investigati wrapped up last mth and the results are now line. Amg the findings, the survey of more than 2,000 Apple devs sheds light how Swift is doing, how much of interest for each of the platforms of Apple, what the revenue models are most popular, and much more.

Indie iOS developer Dave Verwer put together the public, the community of iOS developers for the survey. Here is why he felt that it was important to do so:

When it comes to Swift, the respdents were very satisfied, overall, Apple’s programming language for earning 8.3/10 average score.

No real surprise here, but when it came to the interest in developing for iOS, both a persal and business level, the developers said it to rank high, 8.5/10 average for the companies.

As developers, more and more of our interactis occur the internet, and that can be problematic. Twitter and other social networks are echo chambers, and it is easy to be influenced by the voices of prominent members of the community. This is not always a good thing, and I know that I am a part of the problem! The fact that a lot of you, my words each week is a respsibility that I take very seriously.

It is too easy for something the internet and take it as a truth. Have you ever found yourself wdering if the applicati of the architecture that you are using is good enough because you hear somee speaking about MVVM, or VIPER, or some other architecture that could just as well be a number written in roman numerals? 😂

This survey is a unique opportunity to discover what the wider community think of the state of development of the platform of Apple, and not just a few people. This is why I created it.

These levels dropped to 3 for Mac and Apple development interest, of 4.9 for the Apple , and 2.3 for Apple TV from a commercial point of view. The numbers were a little higher in the evaluati of a persal interest.
