The latest beta of watchOS warns that support will end so for apps that have not been updated for years. This is part of a ctinuing effort by Apple to update any third-party applicatis written for the first-generati SDK.
Unfortunately, this player is pushing some developers to aband Apple Watch date apps.
When opening an applicati designed for watchOS 1 a device running the newly released beta versi of watchOS 4.3.1, a warning message appears: "This app will ly work not with future versis of watchOS The developer of this applicati needs to update it to improve its compatibility. "
Apple has not yet announced which future versi of watchOS will support these legacy applicatis. It could be as so as watchOS 5, which should begin this fall with the next generati of Apple Watch devices.
