iOS 11.4 disables Lightning Cnector after 7 days, restricting access to the law

The iOS 11.4 update, being beta tested, includes a restricted USB mode that introduces a e-week expirati date Lightning port access your iOS devices if your phe has not been unlocked. Applicati tools like the GrayKey box.

The USB restricted mode was described this morning by Elcomsoft after the tests cfirmed that the feature has been activated. According to the Elcomsoft experience, after an iPhe or iPad has been updated to iOS 11.4, it has not been unlocked or cnected to an associated computer in the last 7 days using a password, the Lightning port is useless.

At this point, it is still unclear whether the USB port is blocked if the device has not been unlocked with an access code for 7 csecutive days; if the device has not been unlocked at all (password or biometrics); or if the device has not been unlocked or cnected to a USB device or a trusted computer.

In our test, we were able to cfirm the USB lock after the device was left idle for 7 days. During this time, we did not try to unlock the device with Touch ID or cnect it to a paired USB device. What we do know, however, is that after 7 days, wearing Lightning is ly good to load.
