Both Samsung and Apple would work foldable phes, but Huawei of China could be the first to get e the market.
Moreover, BOE is trying to cvince Apple to use its OLEDs in future models of iPhone. A folding phe would be an excellent showcase of his abilities.
All about the foldable hype
Huawei plans to launch its foldable phe very early next year. The entire goal is meant to simply draw attenti to the company. The first flexible smartphe in the world will certainly generate a media craze, even if Huawei intends to sell a few thousand. That’s why the Chinese company plans to beat Samsung at the punch.
Many reports indicate that Samsung plans to launch its foldable phe – which e could call the Galaxy X – in the first half of 2019. So it’s apparently a race between Huawei and Samsung.
If that’s the case, Apple is a distant third. A collapsible iPhone is not likely until 2020 at the earliest.
That said, ne of the first two flexible models should be a great seller. They will almost certainly be very expensive and exist especially for bragging rights. Apple does not do that kind of thing. If it releases a collapsible iPhone, it will be because the product is ready to sell by the milli.
