Included in Mac OS X and ctinuing to exist in macOS, Summarize has been a mainstay of the operating system for many years. As the name suggests, the tool allows users to quickly cdense text from a large number of paragraphs, potentially up to a few sentences to the extreme.
As a service, it is not immediately available to current users and must be activated before being accessible in the menus.
Enable Summarize Service
Click the Apple Ic in the menu and select System Preferences . In the new window, click Keyboard which is usually the secd row, third ic from the left.
In the tab Shortcuts click the opti Services in the left-hand column. Scroll to the right window to the Text secti and click the check box next to Summarize to activate it.
It is not necessary to cfigure a keyboard shortcut for the service because it is accessible from the menu ce enabled, but it is an optial step that can be performed in clicking Add Shortcut and then pressing a combinati of keys.
