The Dock is a key part of your Mac experience, it allows you to quickly launch applicatis and folders, as well as give you access to the Finder. However, the Dock can take up too much space depending the number of applicatis and folders you have loaded there.
Follow alg this guide to help you hide your Dock Mac
- Press ⌘ + Space the keyboard. Type System Preferences
- ce opened, click Dock the top line and check the box Hide and Show Dock Automatically .
- Now the dock will no lger be always present and will automatically hide the dock when you do not actively use it.
Hiding the dock is super helpful when you have a small screen such as any MacBooks from Apple and you are hungry the screen. However, it is also useful when you simply do not need the dock to be visible at all times.
I persally recommend that you ly hide your dock if your screen is smaller than 27 inches. Something bigger, you gain so little space your screen that it's not really worth it to hide.
