How to give your Finder window superpowers

The Finder has been with the Mac since the first day, in 1984. But just because it's old, does not mean that it has no new tricks. Did you know, for example, that you can add a path bar at the bottom of the window to show the path of the current folder your Mac? Or that you can add a status bar in the same place to know how full your disc is? Or that you can add a permanent preview pane the right side of a Finder window, even in the ic and list views?

Let's take a look, and see what else you can do.
