Five Reass to Prefer Apple Maps to Google Maps

Has there ever been an applicati that caused as much stir in the Apple community as Apple Maps? It was released in the fall of 2012 with iOS 6, and it was not well received at the very least. It was so badly received that Tim Cook even wrote a letter to apologize for the bad launch of Apple Maps that ctributed to the dismissal of Scott Forstall:

At Apple, we strive to create World class products offering the best experience possible. our clients. With the launch of our new cards last week, we missed that commitment. We are extremely sorry for the frustrati this has caused our customers and we are doing everything we can to improve Maps.

Now that we are almost six years old in Apple Maps, I am of the opini that Apple was right. a Facebook world scandal of privacy, to replace Google Maps with their internal mapping product. In fact, Google Maps is not my iPhone, and here are five reass why I prefer Apple Maps Google Maps.


Apple and Google have radically different business models, and a Google Maps product is a key part of this strategy. In fact, Google even has a product where you can see where you have been in the past. That's what Google is called Timeline. Although I can see why some people would like this feature, I do not do it. Apple's privacy policy for Apple Maps is much more to my taste:
