JAMF is a manufacturer of mobile device management platform for Apple. There are two products, JAMF Now and JAMF Pro. I am actually a JAMF Pro customer, but JAMF Now is a really nice platform. JAMF aims for a company without an IT department, but JAMF Pro has many bells and whistles that the IT department needs.
Today, JAMF introduced two functis that fill the gap little by little between the two products.
Package development for Mac –You can quickly and easily deploy custom scripts and applicatis in a generic .pkg file format. This is especially useful if you need to deploy software that is not available in the App Store, such as Google Chrome, Adobe Creative Suite, or Microsoft Office, to your organizati's devices. Introducti of custom iOS applicati –You can easily distribute in-house apps and third-party apps using custom applicati deployment for iOS devices. This feature allows organizatis to take advantage of custom applicatis all iOS devices, whether or not they are available ly outside the App Store.
Package deployment for Mac is very useful as a lot of applicatis that companies have not even deployed the Mac App Store. This feature is also useful for pushing new printer drivers. As for MDM support, JAMF keeps all the latest functis of iOS, macOS, tvOS up to date, and I will be a customer for many years.
