HomePod sales have fallen well short of expectatis, according to e of Apple's best game analysts.
KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, told investors today As Apple plans to create a low-cost versi of the HomePod. While the market expects Apple to sell 5 milli to 10 milli HomePods this year, this number will likely be closer to 2 milli to 2.5 milli, Kuo predicts. In his note obtained by Business Insider, Kuo says that Siri and the prize are to blame.
"We attribute potentially dull sales to: (1) an uninteresting user experience with the voice assistant functi, Siri, compared to competitors; and (2) a high selling price, which could undermine demand despite excellent sound quality. "
