Apple's Web Site Celebrates Accessibility for World Accessibility Awareness Day

The Apple site has been updated today to highlight the accessibility features of the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and more. The change is in celebrati of World Accessibility Awareness Day, an annual event that promotes digital access and inclusi for people with different disabilities.

Apple has lg touted its myriad of accessibility efforts that make macOS, iOS, watchOS and tvOS easier to use – and in fact incredibly useful – for people with disabilities. As the company says its new homepage, "technology is the most powerful when it gives power to everye."

Apple.com updated for the World Accessibility Awareness Day

Visitors to Apple.com are now greeted with an image accessibility. It shows FaceTimes calls made with sign language, iBooks read aloud with VoiceOver, wheelchair drive sessis Apple Watch, and more.

Apple has also updated its Accessibility page, which still shows the commercial "Sady" 2016 ways that Apple devices are used by people with disabilities. The ad is told by Sady Pauls, who uses Switch Ctrol to run a Mac.

The page also lists some of the accessibility features available various Apple devices, such as VoiceOver, the ability to invert colors and use magnificati, Live Listen for hearing aid wearers , AssistiveTouch, and the dictati by Siri.
