The California Supreme Court, Thursday, said Apple had violated state law by not paying employees, so that they went through the mandatory bag searches at the end of their shift. The decisi of the company respsible for millis of dollars, via (Bloomberg Law).

Mandatory bag searches are performed each time a store or employees of the Campus of the leave. This includes breaks and at the end of the work shift. Previously, the U.S. District court for the Northern District of California ruled in favor of Apple. He said that the employees have chosen to carry bags during their shift. However, the State of the decisi of the Supreme Court has said that the staff “must comply with the bag-search policy under the threat of discipline, up to and including terminati of employment.”
In additi, he stressed that the employees are cfined in the premises while the bag searches are undertaken. They are also compelled “to perform specific and supervised the tasks in the waiting and in the course of their research.” In the end, the court ccluded:
Apple employees have a right to compensati for the time during which they are subject to Apple’s ctrol. Based the ctrol language of the clause, the employees of Apple are clearly under the ctrol of Apple, in the meantime, and during the output of the research.
The company had not respded publicly by the time of this writing.
