Apple declared to support dual SIM card at the iPhe XS announcement event and shared some details.
First of all, the soluti requires e SIM card slot. The user inserts a physical SIM equipped with Apple 's eSIM technology. The company currently uses eSIM technology both the iPad and Apple Watch, and is offering it to the iPhe for the first time.
As expected by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, iPhe XS supports Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS), which automatically activates a specific SIM card when the phe enters. The active line is also displayed in the called number. DSDS technology offers many benefits to end users. Most notably, you can move across the border and coverage ze without replacing the SIM card.
Chinese users need to use two physical SIM cards (e each side of the iPhe's SIM card slot) because Apple does not have authorizati to launch eSIM in that country .
Unfortunately, for those who are looking forward to the dual SIM feature, a small footnote the Apple site reveals that the eSIM features will be disabled startup. The company plans to enable this feature through future iOS 12 software updates, but states that it can not present ccrete schedule for release.
