Apple RAM supplier SK Hynix said 800 of its employees to stay home and not to come to work, after having been cvicted of e of his interns come in ctact with a pers infected with the coravirus.
SK Hynix Thursday said it had asked for 800 of its employees to quarantine themselves to prevent the ps from the coravirus as a precautiary measure. The precauti was taken after the discovery of a trainee had met e patient in Daegu, a city of South Korea, which is at the centre of an outbreak of the virus.
The intern has been tested with another e with symptoms of pneumia, Reuters reports, so that neither have been found to have the virus in the first test, a secd e is underway to ensure this. The company has also closed its training center and hospital in Inche.
In spite of the self-ctrol of 800 people, it is unlikely that the measure will have a major impact SK Hynix of orders for customers. The number is ly a small fracti of its 18,000-pers workforce based in Inche, with 280 employees in questi, composed of interns still have to work the producti lines, a spokesman for the company advised.
SK Hynix is the secd largest producer of memory chips, with Apple amg its customers.
